Learning Tactics


Creating a Tactic

  1. One hunter in the cell needs the required traits to be the primary actor.
  2. Conceptualization One actor rolls Intelligence + the highest Skill required for the Tactic (May use teamwork action).
  3. Total successes rolled – the Practical Experience cost for the Tactic = number of hours each individual hunter must spend practicing the Tactic.
  4. Practice The players each roll Stamina + Resolve
    (-3 if Conceptualization failed).
  5. Put in hours of practice, if Practice roll failed the character cannot manage to put in the hours to learn the tactic.
  6. Spend the Practical Experience.
  7. Field test Hunters who failed the Practice roll or did not commit the number of training hours necessary suffer a -3 to any Tactic-based rolls. This penalty remains until the cell succeeds on the Tactic at least once.

Teaching Tactics

  1. Teacher must possess all the prerequisite traits for the Tactic.
  2. Learning The teacher rolls Intelligence + Expression, while the students roll Wits + Composure. If the teacher’s roll fails, the students suffer a -3 to their roll.
  3. Total successes rolled – the Practical Experience cost for the Tactic = number of hours the student must spend practicing the Tactic.
    Practice The players each roll Stamina + Resolve
    (-2 if Learning roll failed).

*Experience points can be spent on Willpower only to restore dots lost through sacrifice or performing feats that require such a sacrifice.
